The 12 dance-speed and dance-length tracks are complemented by two tracks of sample calls and one beautiful waltz. The musicians on this recording came from cities, villages, and farms in the upper Mississippi valley, and convened in a rural recording studio to re-create the sound and feel of a real-live barn dance. This CD is a companion to the book, Join Up Hands.
