Written for Piccolo, 4 "C" Flutes, 2 Altos, Bass and Contra Bass Flutes with "C" Substitute Parts for Alto Flutes.
This composition was written and dedicated to the Tucson Flute Club for their 50th Anniversary. It was premiered at the celebration concert on March 8, 2020 to a standing room only audience. Each movement portrays a vision of the "Great Southwest". There is calmness, beautiful lyrical lines, expressive harmony, animation and excitement throughout the composition.
