Description
The former Musica-Rara edition of the 12 Fantasias has been revised by the editor and is now supplied with a better facsimile. Unfortunately, the original edition of the 12 Fantasias by Georg Philipp Telemann has survived only as a copy of poor quality. Therefore, Barthold Kuijken presents a transcription along with a critical appraisal of the musical text. His preface informs about the genesis of the work, discusses the scoring, and comments on stylistic and formal aspects. This edition replaces catalog number MR2167.
