Description
Alexandre Tansman was a Polish composer best known for his film music and his time studying with Stravinsky as one of his only students. While Stravinsky's rhythmic drive is clearly visible through the music of Tansman, the uniquely expressive and lyrical touch of Tansman himself sets his music apart as a truly worthwhile pursuit. This Divertimento, written in the mid-1940s, is presented here as a score only. Parts are available separately. Roughly 10 minutes in performance.
