Handel, Purcell, Telemann, Mozart, Torelli and many other composers have written famous and important concertos, sonatas or suites for trumpet. Unfortunately, these works are usually reserved for only a small circle of instrumentalists. The reason for this is not necessarily the technical difficulty, but rather the often extreme pitch, which - for historical reasons - resulted from the limited supply of tones in the upper natural range of the then valveless trumpet (clarino).
In the "Young brass classics" series, some of these works are now being published in transposed versions, of course while preserving the original compositional substance. Practical performance notes as well as suggestions for decoration and design are added.
In order to enable performances with an amateur or music school orchestra, both paritur and part material can be purchased from the publisher. Includes parts for B-flat and C trumpet.
