Description

The clarinet was first introduced to England more than ten years after the death of Handel in London (1759). Had the instrument been available in his time, Handel undoubtedly would have included it in the marvelous music he wrote for woodwinds. I've always felt the oboe sonatas offer ideal clarinet music, and [this] arrangement consists of movements from the G Minor Oboe Sonatas, Numbers 1 and 2. - Mitchell Lurie
