Description
Robert Stephenson has composed two woodwind quartets based on “American” folksongs. Quartet No. 1 features an African-American spiritual, a Scottish-American sailor’s song, Irish-American and all-American love songs and lullabies with roots in England and Africa. It is scored for flute, oboe, clarinet in A/B-flat, and bassoon. Score and individual parts are included. Total duration: approximately 10 minutes.
