Description
Ivan Müller (1786-1854) was a clarinetist, composer, and inventor. He invented the system of "stuffed" pads covering countersunk tone-holes, is credited as the inventor of the metal ligature, and made other contributions toward the development of a fully chromatic clarinet. This original work for B-flat clarinet and piano exploits that new instrument through extensive chromatic and technical writing. Duration: 12 minutes
