Clarinet Warm-Ups: Materials for the Contemporary Clarinetist
Catalog: DORN1169
Price: $24.95
Clarinet Warm-Ups is intended to be a broad-based resource for use by students at all levels. It is not designed to advance one particular concept of warming-up over another, but is meant to supply clarinetists with ample material to develop a personal, comprehensive daily routine. It includes many different exercises as is reasonable and useful for each standard facet of clarinet playing. It is not a "How To" book, but simply a compilation of various exercises. Author Kelly Burke joined the faculty at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1989. She is currently the principal clarinetist of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra and bass clarinetist of the Eastern Music Festival Orchestra. She has appeared in recitals and as a soloist with symphony orchestras throughout the United States, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, and Russia. Burke’s discography includes several releases with Centaur Records, and she has also recorded for Telarc, Albany and Arabesque labels. She holds the BM and MM degrees from the Eastman School of Music and the DMA from the University of Michigan.
