Alain Mayrand is a composer and orchestrator with a passion for the golden age craft of cinema. Alain’s composition credits include the animated feature film “Mosley” starring Lucy Lawless, Rhys Darby and John Rhys-Davies. “The Martini Shot” starring Matthew Modine and John Cleese, “Defining Moments” starring Burt Reynolds and “The Legend of Silkboy” starring Jackie Chan. Alain has also worked as orchestrator and conductor on the blockbuster films “Elysium”, “Enders Game” as well as “What Happened to Monday”, “Dead Snow II” and the TV series “Olympus”.

Alain’s concert music has been commissioned, performed and recorded by various groups throughout the world. Highlights include the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, the Dallas Chamber Orchestra, the Russian Film Music Symphony Orchestra, the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra of Taipei, the Ramat-Gan Orchestra in Israel and the Troy University Concert Band in Alabama.
