Commissioned by and dedicated to Hat Trick Inspired by the expansive grandeur of the Big Sky state, Dorff’s second trio for flute, viola, and harp is set in two scenic movements. The first movement evokes the spacious view of seemingly infinite flat land and stillness, while the second movement is a succession of sparkly dances inspired by the clear nighttime sky.
