Description
The sonata is intended to be a chamber work with two players. The two instrumental parts are often intertwined and are in continuous close relationship musically. It was not conceived as solo with keyboard accompaniment, but considered as a gestalt. The trombone lines lay well ‘on the slide’—with use of alternate positions.
