Description
La Cumparsita was written by Uruguayan composer Gerardo Matos Rodriquez in 1919. It is one of the most famous and recognizable tango songs of all time. It was initially a little march, composed by the young student or architecture, for the carnival marching band organized by the Federation of Students of Uruguay.
