Octaband® Products
The Octaband® is a playful, interactive tool for increasing one’s sense of belonging and connection through movement. The Octaband® provides a visual representation of each person as an individual and an integral member of a group. The legs provide the opportunity to pull, which represents a self that is separate and autonomous, while at the same time maintaining group cohesion.Like its namesake, the octopus, the Octaband® is very adaptable, squeezing into smaller spaces by rolling the band around one’s legs several times, and expanding into larger spaces by pulling on the legs.
It is the uniqueness of each one of us and our connection to a larger whole that is manifested in the image of the Octaband® - a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts, a whole that bubbles up with synergy.
The Octaband® is latex free. It is made of 80% nylon and 20% spandex and is washable.
