Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, his last completed instrumental work, dates from October 1791. This edition presents the music in the key of A and for clarinet in A. Published 1996. Two suggested first movement lead-ins and one suggested slow movement cadenza (adaptation of Carl Baermann). Introductory remarks but no essay. Practical performance edition for standard clarinet by Harold Wright as transmitted by Ethan Sloane and Ruth Wright. As one might expect from a marked-up studio copy, some passages have two possible articulations. Editorial dynamics are for best effect in performance. Cue notes are printed in a smaller size than soloist notes, set off by "Solo" and "Tutti" markings. Source of piano reduction not named.
