Description
Debussy wrote the Premiere Rhapsodie on request, with piano accompaniment, for juries at the Paris Conservatoire in 1910. He orchestrated the accompaniment the following year. Very near the end of the piece, this Chester edition, as well as the Henle edition (our number HN789), presents two different notes in the solo part than many players are accustomed to seeing and hearing in the Durand edition (our number 50560463). The Chester edition has editorial comments but no introductory essay.
