Description
Debussy wrote the Premiere Rhapsodie on request, with piano accompaniment, for juries at the Paris Conservatoire in 1910. He orchestrated the accompaniment the following year. Petite Piece was also written in 1910, for sight-reading tests at the Paris Conservatoire. In distinct contrast to the many-faceted Rhapsody, it resides in its own calm, legato neighborhood.
