Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, his last completed instrumental work, dates from October 1791. This edition presents the music in the key of A and for clarinet in A. Published 1974. One suggested slow movement cadenza (Clarinet Quintet); introductory essay in German and English. Combined part for standard and basset clarinet. When two sets of notes are present, the basset notes are printed smaller, not the best situation for legibility, but most people will be playing the larger notes for standard clarinet. Practical performing edition with articulation and ornamentation per editor. Somewhat more extended slurs than found in most editions, but this is preferable to the endless slur-two/tongue-two patterns sometimes found elsewhere. Rests in place of cue notes, but some limited cue notes are present. Piano reduction by Alan Hacker.
