This publication combines two trios by Beethoven. Beethoven composed his Op. 11 Trio in 1797-98. It was first published in 1798. The third movement consists of variations on a melody from a comic opera by Joseph Weigl. Considered unusual among piano trios of the time by putting a clarinet in place of violin. This edition has an alternate violin part. Beethoven composed, or actually arranged, his Op. 38 Trio in 1805. This trio is an arrangement of the Septet, Op. 20 (1800). The Septet was a best seller among Beethoven's published compositions during his lifetime, so the trio arrangement made financial sense. Alternate violin part included. Includes piano score and separate parts for clarinet, violin (alternate part), and cello.
- Trio in B-flat major, Op. 11
- Trio in E-flat major, Op. 38
