Description
Based on the Newfoundland folk song the "Feller from Fortune," this piece has been transformed from the original jig to become an energetic overture featuring a number of solo opportunities, interesting percussion parts, and some simple mixed meter work. For piccolo trumpet, three trumpets, flugel horn, two horns, three trombones, euphonium and tuba. Also includes percussion parts (xylophone, bells, chimes, timpani, snare drum, bass drum, tom-toms and cymbals).
