The 5 Etudes for Alto Saxophone can be played as a whole or individually. If the complete etudes (or a few of them) are played, the given order of the etudes do not have to be respected; they can be played in any order. Each etude is a tribute to a great master/pedagogue of saxophone. However, there is no stylistic or aesthetical reference between these masters of saxophone and the etudes. These tributes are my personal indications and are not part of the titles; that is why these tributes are expressed at the end of each etude. Comments by the composer, Robert Lemay (Teachers honored are Marcel Mule, Jean-Marie Londeix, Eugene Rousseau, Fred Hemke, Daniel Deffayet)
