Description
This one-movement Fantasia for viola or clarinet and piano was commissioned and premiered in 2013 by Emmanuel Olivieri, principal viola of the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra. The clarinet version was premiered at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico during the "Clarinet Day 2015" by Kathleen Jones, principal clarinet of the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, with pianist Ivonne Figueroa. The music is a beautiful ballad and is appealing to both performer and audience. The total duration is approximately 5.5 minutes.
