Description

Louis Vierne (1870-1937) studied privately with Cesar Franck and was appointed titulaire organist at Notre-Dame (Paris) in 1900.

The two books of 24 ‘Pieces en style libre pour orgue ou harmonium’ (Livre I-II) are shorter and technically easier than the 24 ‘Pieces de fantaisie en quatre suites’.

These “miniatures,” more meditative in character, are equally suitable for organ teaching or concert use.
