Description

This collection of representative works from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods provides a repertoire of music appropriate for concerts, festivals and competitions for brass groups of varying instrumentation.

The original compositions have been transposed to practical keys, when necessary, and have been arranged in a 4-part texture amenable to performance by either a small or a large ensemble.

The distribution of voices and parts is:

  • Soprano - 1st B-flat cornet or trumpet
  • Alto - 2nd B-flat cornet or trumpet; 1st Horn in F; 1st Horn in E-flat
  • Tenor - 2nd Horn in F; 2nd Horn in E-flat; 1st Baritione TC; 1st Trombone or Baritone BC
  • Bass - 2nd Baritone TC, 2nd Trombone or Baritone BC; Tuba

The arrangements may be played by any combination in which there is at least one instrument for each voice (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) or by the entire brass section.
