Mozart wrote his Horn Quintet in 1781 or 1782 for Joseph Leutgeb. It slightly predates the horn concertos. Not much is written about the Horn Quintet, but the little there is tends to mention the use of two violas in the ensemble (violin, two violas, cello, and horn). In this set of parts the horn part is for horn in E-flat. A second cello part is included to replace the horn, transcribed by Michael Biondi.
- 1. Allegro
- 2. Andante
- 3. Rondo: Allegro
