Description
Race Around the World is an interdisciplinary recorder game that brings together music and social studies. The teacher gives a clue from the teacher's book. Students work in teams to figure out the answer to the clue based on information in the student books. Students then learn the duet from the corresponding clue and perform it for the teacher. If performed correctly, the students get their "passport" stamped for that country. Groups of students race to make it all around the world before their classmates. Teacher Edition (available separately) includes a CD with audio tracks for practice and performance, full-score orff arrangements of each song, teaching suggestions, and National Standards correlations. Teaching aids are available via publisher website. Student books include fingering chart, clues, songs, and country information. Race Around the World and then perform the songs for family and friends in an international music program!
