In bringing this great band arrangement back into print, several steps were taken to modernize the original version from the early twentieth century.  Each part was inspected for errors and corrected.  Good musical judgment and research were often the final determination for this edition.  Also, in the modernization process, several instrumental parts were eliminated from the original edition; instruments that are not commonly in use today. One last word of advice to conductors:  listen to an orchestral recording done by a great orchestra and conductor.  That way, you can make the proper interpretation judgments pertaining to style, interpretation, tempi, etc.
