Description
Mendelssohn composed the Piano Concerto in A minor at the age of 12. Though it clearly betrays the influence of classical models such as Hummel, Dussek, etc., it attains an individuality, especially in the central movement, which anticipates the expressive world of Romanticism. Included is a single score containing both the solo piano part and the orchestral reduction for second piano. Thus, two copies are required for performance.
