This quick march was composed in 1924 and premiered at the British Empire Exhibition in April, 1924. The work is based on the songs "Princess Royal," "Admiral Benbow," and "Portsmouth." The composer transcribed this work for full orchestra in 1942. Bright melodic lines remind one of folk tunes while quick two-beat motives suggest a rhythm of march.
