Cityscapes is a collection of eight programmatic performance pieces focusing on activities found on a trip to the big city. It is written for the later elementary/early intermediate level student and contains a variety of musical styles, meters and keys. Purpose: Eric Baumgartner - I hope to inspire the student's imagination as they blend these descriptive titles with their musical content. They will take part in diverse activities common to the city, such as attending a baseball game, a parade, a symphony and even experience the hustle and bustle of rush hour.
