O Sing a Song of Bethlehem - Unison and SATB, Brass, Timpani, and Organ

This congregational hymn setting is part of the Presbyterian Association of Musicians Series, and is based on the hymn tune KINGSFOLD. For brass quartet (or quintet,) timpani, and organ. Stanzas one and three are in unison, stanza two can optionally be sung by SATB voices using the standard hymnal harmonization. (These voices could be the choir or just the congregation invited to sing in parts.) Stanza four is unison with optional soprano descant. A festive piece despite the minor key, this arrangement is full of word painting, infectious rhythms, and just plain fun.
