Description

The sopranino recorder, in the key of F, sounds an octave above the alto recorder and a fourth above the soprano.

Yamaha's 20 Series recorders are designed to provide a perfect start to anyone's musical education. They offer an ideal amount of air resistance for easy control, and feature an accuracy of intonation you would expect to find only on more expensive models. Though other makers' plastic recorders may have a similar appearance, Yamaha ABS recorders are truly superior instruments. The 20 series, easy to play throughout their ranges, are primarily intended for beginners.

The Yamaha 22B sopranino is a great combination of quality and economy, and a great choice for classroom recorder ensembles. It is made of durable ivory ABS plastic and has a two-piece construction, allowing tuning. It can also be used to introduce the F-instrument fingerings for students whose hands cannot quite reach all the holes on an alto recorder yet. It plays easily throughout its registers and has a nice clear tone.

The YRN-22B has single holes for low G and F, and comes with a fingering chart (Baroque fingering) and a drawstring bag.
